European Works Council
When a UK plc with significant global operations received
a qualifying request from its unions in France and Belgium to consider the
establishment of a European Works Council, Hinkson Associates worked with
their Head Office team and European management staff to prepare the communication
plan and procedure for the establishment of the SNB and a draft EWC agreement
for consideration by that body.
Business Start-up
A limited company was established to provide personal
fitness and lifestyle training to individuals and companies. Hinkson Associates
provided guidance on the format of agreements for instructors who would operate
either as independent consultants or employees.
Company regeneration
A significant industrial company in the United Kingdom
with markets both in the UK and Europe had been operating with its three
manufacturing plants acting almost completely independently of each other.
To coincide with the reorganisation of strategic objectives Hinkson Associates
were invited to undertake an audit of the Human Resources function. Having found
an enthusiastic team and a willingness to embrace change throughout the
organisation the newly formed task force developed a long term plan and began
by introducing training for managers and supervisors, a performance management
process specifically suited to the organisation and a commitment to sharing
common practices that promote a unique company identity.
